The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre will be the venue for the swimming and diving competitions during the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and has hosted the 2014 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships and other major competitions ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
The upgrade will included a new 10-lane 50 metre competition pool, new learn-to-swim pool, elevated spectator concourse, change rooms, gym and amenties, community meeting room and event facilities and the refurbishment of the existing 8-lane 50 metre pool and dive pool.
Construction was completed in July 2014. General Air was excited to be involved in this redevelopment, the first Commonwealth Games legacy infrastructure project to get underway.
